Anonymous asked: Juice fast!(even if for just like 3 days) it's healthy, a great way to lose weight, and a perfect way to kickstart you off into a healthier way of eating. it's actually how I became a veggie. you stop eating meat to prep for it and I just never ate meat again. after about a day you'll feel amazing! watch 'fat sick and nearly dead' you won't regret it :)
island-paradi-se asked: i take hospitality at school, and one of our practicals is to make chicken wings. i havent been vegetarian for very long (less than a month so far) and the thought of cutting the raw chocken and everything and turning it over or something was so disgusting. i cant believe i actually have to do it (its kinda an assesment :'( )
Just realize I only have 30 days to get in shape...
Anyone want to share any magical vegetarian diet advice? (seriously the only advice I need is “cut the crap and stop eating cookies, fatty.” but if anyone has actual advice that works too)
oldashcale asked: I found gelatin in Foodlion's brand of spicy cheese dip. (for those octo lacto vegetarians)
Anonymous asked: Sometimes my boss goes out and treats us to lunch at a cafe nearby. She doesn't mind taking complicated sandwich orders for anyone or getting specific food alterations. Recently I asked if she'd ask the server if the soup of the day had a vegetarian-friendly broth, and she yelled "Absolutely not!" and told me how rude that was.
taylerlarson asked: today I got back some blood test results, and my protein levels were higher than what they should be. I've been a vegetarian for over 6 months!! I'm so tired of everyone saying your body's biggest source of protein is meat. My body's proof IT ISNT. (:
amytown asked: the vegetarian problems make me laugh so hard! Ive been one for almost 4 years now and i agree with them all!! especially the one where everyone feels the need to tell you how they didnt eat meat for 6 days! so funny! love your blog!
untamed-life-deactivated2012120 asked: I take cooking class and we have to study every food before we cook it. Currently, we're on meat. My teacher is aware that I'm vegetarian and emphasizes how 'good' meat is for you and how it's 'delicious.' How do I deal with that? Everyone is entitled to an opinion but she always stares at me while shes making those comments..
Anonymous asked: McDonald's says that their fries *in the US* are not vegetarian, and that real beef is in the "natural beef flavoring", as well as whey. It is used in the par-frying process, before they are shipped to the restaurants, where they are deep-fried in vegetable oil. In some other countries, such as India and parts of Europe, they are vegetarian.
michaeldf37-deactivated20121118 asked: Someone mentioned something about McDs fries. There's "natural beef flavoring" in them, which seems to be vegetarian, but it is NOT vegan. My soul just died when I saw this. Their website's pretty detailed with ingredients, in case anyone is curious about other stuff.
optimousprime-deactivated201204 asked: I'm so happy I found your blog ! I've recently become a vegetarian, and it's difficult because everyone around me eats me and is constantly questioning my decision. Your blog is so helpful though !
Anonymous asked: I looked into what Clinkers are, and apparently they're like "Revels," which are a candy by the Mars, inc. Basically they're different flavored things covered in chocolate, such as orange creme, toffee, or strawberry. From the looks of it, neither of the candies are American things.
icecoldnostalgia asked: Hey, I don't want to sound rude, but before you go out recommending that people should watch animal cruelty videos so that they are inspired to go vegetarian, try to understand what your really going against. I've been vegetarian for almost two years now, and I never plan on going back, but I also know my shit. Please don't succumb to animal rights advocates, because a lot of them...
thathealthyveggiekid asked: the mcdonalds fries thing actually depends on here you are in the world, for example, in britain, canada, new zeland (i think) and india, their fries are veggie friendly, however, in america (the only place i know of at this time) they use beef grease on their fries before they're fried in vegetable oil (kinda defeats the object if you ask me) - however, mcdonalds contributes to so much...
dreamandincolor asked: this is probably stupid, but why are mcdonalds french fries not vegetarian friendly? they switched from using like animal grease to i suppose normal cooking grease.. didnt they?
charlielass asked: To the girl who has been a vegetarian for 2 months... Another source of protein can be found in hemp seeds and quinoa, both of which are COMPLETE proteins... meaning they have all the essential amino acids
Anonymous asked: On the topic of the person who recently stopped eating vegetarian, can you please try and actually answer the question? I understand you don't want them to stop eating this way but you really didn't help the underlying problem that they asked...
Anonymous asked: I told my best friend ( who is vegan ) that I had stopped being vegetarian. It wasn't for that it was hard for me , it just was one of those things that didn't feel right for me. Now she called me to say that she isn't disappointed , she's just mad that I decided to " kill and cause a holocaust rather than save thousands of lives " . What should I do ?
Anonymous asked: On the gelatin list, what is a clinker?
Anonymous asked: Welch's fruit snacks contain gelatin
hislittlecherry asked: as for stuff that contains gelatin, clean and clear uses it in their deep action cream cleanser.
mischievousziam asked: I've been a vegetarian for 2 months and I didn't start replacing proteins in my meals (at least not fully). I just stopped eating meat. I don't know what I should eat, what I should buy, where and how often. I really need a coach right now. Or pieces of advice. Can anyone help me ?
laterssssbaby asked: I don't understand how anybody could think being a vegetarian is gross, that plants are gross. Seeing videos of animals being tortured and completely mutilated and put through hell before they even die just for us to eat them is what's gross.
Anonymous asked: When I read that ask about how vegetables are grown in an unclean way.. I chuckled. Honestly, I'd rather eat vegetables grown in RICH SOIL than eat meat from a steer that has been in a feedlot up to its knees in fecal matter for months. You're supposed to rinse your veggies and fruits anyway!
Anonymous asked: it's great that you're a vegetarian, but is it necessary to make a fucking blog about it? this is just pathetic and stupid. sorry that "vegetarian life" is so difficult oh BOOHOO someone asked you why you don't eat meat so I guess you should make a blog about it.
Anonymous asked: I can't believe people watch that "meet your meat" video and post comments about how they aren't going to stop eating meat, but how disgusting it is they do that to the animals. ignorance at it's best.
Anonymous asked: lol so meat is gross to you? gee, I wonder how plants are grown? oh yeah! some dirty seed is planted in filthy, disgusting dirt and watered until it springs out of the germy ground. YUMMM!! you're an idiot.

Anonymous asked: I think meats nice and sometimes like how steak smells being cooked, or want to eat sausages. then theres other times where it smells absolutely disgusting and I start to feel sick. one day you will probably experience it :)
thefemme-menace asked: YAY ME ! Today is my 3 year vegetarian anniversary !
wallflora asked: Is it weird not to identify with the "ugh i'm gonna puke meat"-vegetarians? I feel like sort of a hypocrite; I freaking love meat. It tastes good, but I gave it up for morality and health reasons. I mean, I'm repulsed by the production and abuse associated with meat, but hey, it smells good and it tasted good.
gleeclubsarecool asked: yaaaay!! new favorite blog! one for vegetarianism, one for GLEE!!
beach-nights-and-lifeguardtowers asked: have you seen the documentary Forks Over Knives?

I just want a song
hermione-katniss asked: I had no idea you liked Glee! YAY! I'm also a vegetarian! :)
purpleboar asked: diggin' this blog man. loveitloveit :)
asimplemotion asked: Just posting this: Wendy's listed Fish as one of the allergens in their French Fries... to all y'all who don't want to eat anything fishy. :)
Anonymous asked: One thing I hate is that the results of animal testing don't at all benefit animals, they benefit humans. If humans want the luxuries then we should step up and take the risks that are involved to get them, not force some animal to take it for us because we are weak and they can't stop it.
whitewolfcub asked: 'Borderline abusive?' I'd never tried eggplant until a few weeks ago and it didn't make me sick. If something is going to make you sick purely because you've never had it before you're probably not supposed to eat it at all, meat is not good for you, why should anyone feed it to their child?
Anonymous asked: I'm not craving meat, but I'm craving the seasonings on meat. Any ideas on a food to eat?
emilyatplu asked: For anon tricked to eat meat: my family most have accepted my vegetarianism. A few still constantly offer me meat, knowing that I don't eat it. Some people just can't/won't accept it. I would agree that mom is probably worried about them, just not handling it well. It could be worse, it could be friends doing it because they think it's funny and "it can't make you...
pizzapartier asked: we ship the same ships, holla. and i'm pretty stoked you didn't say faberry
jehanprouvairs asked: To the anon who's mum is trying to make them eat meat, my mum wasn't thrilled when I became vegetarian either. She tried to talk me out of it, but I just kinda sat her down and told her that it's something I really believed in, and was sure of. I also made a deal that if I became sick, I'd start eating meat again. And that was 5 years ago now. And as long as you eat a variety...
Anonymous asked: do you ship any Glee couples?
Anonymous asked: Probably not a vegetarian problem, but at least my problem haha. Ever since I started eating vegan everything I eat is pretty much healthy, yesterday I ate some considerable unhealthy (still veg) food, and promptly wanted to throw up feeling similar to when I used to consume too much meat in a meal.
wearejuststoriesmakeitagoodone asked: I've never experienced meat craving -- but I read an interesting theory put forth by Steve Ross in Happy Yoga (& reinforced by Dr. Will Tuttle in The World Peace Diet): what we crave is not the food itself, but the experiences that go with it. For example, lots of people crave hamburgers when they smell a charcoal grill. They're craving the experience of grilling with family and...
