triumphofintellectandromance asked: I've never experienced meat craving -- but I read an interesting theory put forth by Steve Ross in Happy Yoga (& reinforced by Dr. Will Tuttle in The World Peace Diet): what we crave is not the food itself, but the experiences that go with it. For example, lots of people crave hamburgers when they smell a charcoal grill. They're craving the experience of grilling with family and friends (I crave potato salad when I smell the smoke from a charcoal grill!)
