It's not easy being green.

Anonymous asked: long term vegetarians who have no goal to go vegan are honestly a disgrace to the animal rights movement, like theres no excuse. the dairy industry is worse than the meat.

I am honestly SO tired of reading so much vegetarian-directed hate on here. It’s honestly exhausting. I don’t post a lot of it because I don’t want to have to expose my followers to it but it is really really frustrating.

Everyone can’t be vegan. Everyone can’t be vegetarian. But being a vegetarian does something to reduce cruelty. And any movement to decrease the amount of suck in the world, no matter to what degree that movement extends, should be respected. I know that I am living a more harm-free life and that I am reducing my carbon and cruelty footprint on this Earth and I am proud of myself and of the rest of the vegetarians who choose to live this way for whatever reason.

Not every person who lives vegetarian does so for the animal rights movement, and not everyone is capable to be vegan health/money/situation-wise.

Veganism is really awesome. I honestly respect and adore everyone who makes that decision, but no more or no less than anyone who decides to be a vegetarian. I don’t know, I’m getting really rambley because I’m tired and upset because I’ve gotten so much hate lately, but things like this bring so much negativity to the veg*n community. Focus your energy towards something more kind and productive, please.

I can only speak for myself, but as I have stated before I fully intend to become vegan eventually, but I am not in a place right now that I can do so for various reasons. You don’t know every single person’s situation, and you shouldn’t act like you do.
