Should I get a record player?

I keep wanting to get one just because I like collecting things and records sound like a cool thing to collect and I like music idk

But I also don’t want to be like an insufferable elitist hipster that’s like “I have that on vinyl blah blah blah”

If you have a record player/know anything about them what kind should I consider buying/where should I look for them?
